How to Play Scrabble Blast

Scrabble Blast is perhaps one of the most enjoyable games as online games go, especially in the word or puzzle genre. Like the regular board game of Scrabble Blast, players enjoy competing against others as the object of the game is to get the highest score possible. With Scrabble Blast, the twist with this game is the fact that can compete against the “clock” or the Scrabble Blast game board itself.

Similarities with Regular Scrabble

Even though several differences exist with Scrabble Blast as compared with the regular board game Scrabble, similarities exist that many die-hard fans of Scrabble Blast love. For instance, players have the opportunity to make words across the Double Letter, Triple Letter, Double Word or Triple Word tiles, which automatically awards more points for making the words played with these tiles.

On the other hand, Scrabble Blast is not like the typical Scrabble Blast board game in the sense that with Scrabble Blast you start out with a game board full of letters instead of the other way around. In general, this online game requires you to find words in the jumble of adjacent tiles on the game board. Like with the traditional board game, some Scrabble Blast letters are worth more than others.

Scrabble Blast Game Modes

When playing Scrabble Blast online, there are three basic game modes you can choose from: the Bag Mode, Puzzle Mode and Action Mode. With “Bag” Mode, Scrabble Blast gives the player a board game full of 100 tiles. The objective is to score as many points as possible with no distractions whatsoever; the longer your word is and the best combination of numbered points you have, the higher your score.

The two other game modes that Scrabble Blast allows you to play both contain number bomb tiles. In “Puzzle” Mode, these bomb squares appear mixed in with the regular letters at the top of the game board. As you make letters and tiles shift downward, so do the numbered bomb tiles. When you create words of a certain length over the bomb, the bomb explodes and disappears, which is what you want to happen with the bomb. When playing the game, it is in your best interest to get rid of the bomb as soon as possible. If a bomb reaches the bottom of the game board, it explodes and your game is over. The bomb aspect of Scrabble Blast is perhaps one of the major reasons the game is so addictive; players love trying to “beat” the bomb.

The second bomb version of the game is the “Action” Mode. Like the “Puzzle” Mode, this one involves bombs. While playing in “Action” Mode, bomb tiles fall faster, requiring you to increase your skills and play the game faster. Naturally, winning while in this increased bomb mode is more difficult, yet it’s another addicting aspect of Scrabble Blast.

Scrabble Blast Tips

There are definitely lots of tips you can use to increase your score and become a better player with this online Scrabble game. For example, making words with at least 20-points or using as many Double Letter tiles as you can skyrockets your Scrabble Blast score. In addition, like with the regular Scrabble Blast board game, you must find a use for the letters “X” and “Q.” These letters are worth the most in Scrabble Blast and can help you increase your score.
